MobiLinguAid is a project study conducted to investigate the effectiveness of mobile assisted language learning (MALL) applications in supplementing ELT coursebooks, and to explore the attitudes of the students towards MALL supplementation. Four pre-intermediate level preparatory classes with a total of 100 students participated in this study. During the eight weeks of experimental process, 50 students in the experimental group were sent supplementary SMS and MMS messages in addition to regular in-class learning whereas those 50 in the control group used conventional supplementary materials. In the fourth and the eighth weeks of the study, achievement test scores of the groups were analyzed and compared to measure the effects of MALL supplementation in students achievement scores. Additionally, a post-questionnaire was employed to elicit the attitudes towards MALL supplementation for ELT coursebooks and the findings were quantitatively analyzed.

Agriculture is one of the major activities to achieve the targets of rural development particularly in those countries where agriculture is considered as the main engine of growth for rural economy. The major problem was to bring improvement in the quality of life of rural people without ICTs services and applications. In rapidly changing local and global agricultural market and price mechanism, it is difficult for traditional and poor farmers to maintain their farm productivity and competitiveness in the local and global market, without using the advanced technological information which is cost efficient which ensures high productivity. There is dire prerequisite to rethink in agricultural extension strategies. By using modern ICTs, farmers will become able to get information via telephone, toll-free no., cell phone, robo calls, SMS and internet for better input application, cropping decisions, management of pest and diseases, animal husbandry and marketing. The government should start regular ICTs program like applications robo calls, SMS etc. to ensure timely availability of agricultural information to the farmer and also established of Information Hub Center (IHC)/Kiosk.
The Smart LCD notice board also called Campus Display System (CDS) is Aimed at the colleges and universities for displaying day-to-day information continuously or at regular intervals during the working hours. Being GSM-based system, it offers Flexibility to display flash news or announcements faster than the programmable system. GSM-based campus display system can also be used at other public places like schools, hospitals, railway stations, gardens etc. without affecting the surrounding environment. The CDS mainly consists of a GSM receiver and a display toolkit which can be programmed from an authorized mobile phone. It receives the SMS, validates the sending Mobile Identification Number (MIN) and displays the desired information after necessary code conversion. It can serve as an electronic notice board and display the important notices instantaneously thus avoiding the latency. Being wireless, the GSM based CDS is easy to expand and allows the user to add more display units at any time and at any location in the campus depending on the requirement of the institute.

The Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a very crucial and effective tool for heart monitoring system on behalf of both regular checkup and emergency. This paper presents a home-made ECG monitoring unit with the latest facilities at a reachable price to consider the economic condition of the large number of poor people around the country. The ECG monitoring unit is divided into two with the hardware and software part. The hardware part is responsible to extract the ECG signal from the body and eradicate the high frequency components and power line noise. The software part is responsible to filter the signal to eliminate the background noise, store the ECG signal for future research purpose, send the ECG report to the predefined e-mail address, calculate the heart rate of the patient and send voice call and SMS in case of abnormal heart rate. To work more conveniently the entire software segment is finally merged into an integrated GUI (Graphical User interface) created using MATLAB GUIDE (GUI Development Environment).
The Penguin marks a major breakthrough in the battle to beat health problems created when computer users spend too much time handling a conventional mouse. It sets new standards of protection against a range of upper limb conditions such as repetitive strain injury (RSI) and carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) by enabling right and left hands to share the workload and avoiding exaggerated movements of the wrist joint that can increase pressure on the soft tissues in the carpal tunnel. Regular switching of hands throughout the day helps prevent static muscle strain (SMS) in the arm and shoulder - a major source of discomfort in mouse work. The Penguin Mouse is also antimicrobial to inhibit the growth of bacteria - making it perfect for hot desking environments.
